Random thought going through my head (most of my thoughts are quite random by the way!)...Our girls decided 6am was a good time to wake up today,I really really honestly thought once they were a bit older the sleep deprivation I still feel would have gone away!Has it?NO.

How old do your kids have to be before you start to feel you have caught up on the sleep you've missed in the first 5 years?Just curious...My mother-in-law says once they leave home haha.

50's goddess...?

New obsession????Hand sewing!Love it,love it,LOVE IT!!! (literally hand sewing,no machine here!)

Here's a few things I have done lately :)

Cushion covers for the girls room.
Not the best photo, but Isabella's quilt all done. The back is plain calico and the bottom is done with buttons.
Isabella's name embroidered in case you cant tell haha.

I have also made Sienna a quilt of her own, sewn the girls and I some skirts, and am in the process of making a quilt for our bed (which is taking much longer haha, but Hamilton is cold ok!I need to be warm).Shhhh don't tell, but I am also sewing the girls pink calico rabbits for Christmas this year.I decided because their birthdays (in February) are so close to Christmas I would make their Christmas presents this year :) My mum gave Steve some wood so he is going to make them a doll's cot each and I'll sew bedding and mini quilts for their rabbits :) Hopefully they will like it.
Also have a bunch of fabric to make more skirts for us girls (seriously as a teen I hated skirts or dresses, but now I would live in them if I could!).

-oh and I have also made a baby blanket for a friends little girl, but the camera batteries died before I gave it to her and couldn't take a photo.I was amazed I sewed it in one day, whereas the girls polar fleece blankets I made them two Christmases ago took me 3 months!!!

Another??

I have been so so SO slack!Jeez cant even remember the last time I was on here :(

Anywho, having a bunch of random thoughts at the moment (could be highly connected with both the girls being at kindy 3 days a week now,and really there is only so much housework that needs doing and I am getting
b o r e d!).I think my brain really does go on over drive when I am alone haha.

But I have realized lately I have had A LOT of people asking when we are going to have another baby, because surely we must want a boy!!I have actually thought about this (not the another baby thing, NOT going to happen!),but about having a boy...I really cant even imagine it.I'm sure boys are fantastic and are little treasures. But I ADORE having girls.I love the girly things they love, playing dress ups, asking me to do their hair, the awesome conversations we have about them meeting their handsome prince, falling in love, getting married and living happily ever after.I love taking them to dancing (well..once we are there and they are dancing and the tantrums have stopped haha).I would miss out on these things if I had boys.

I have to admit right now,at this very moment, with all the people around me who seem to have the most gorgeous itty bitty babies,I have had the odd thought that another would be nice...but really, this way, with our friends having them,I can have big hugs with them and still be able to give them back once they start to cry, mean of me but hey its how I feel!

So for you kind people at the supermarket who are not only horrified that our girls are not twins, but a year apart and that they are indeed both girls...No I don't want to try for a boy :) I'll stick to the most precious little girls we have been blessed with.

Sienna 3 1/2 years,first day of dance class.Isabella 4 1/2 years :)

Annnd what the first photo really looked like!Haha Isabella wasn't actually trying to strangle Sienna, she was trying to hug her and Sienna was trying to run away :p
